As the name suggests, we wanted to create the ideal, basic emergency rain jacket. We made it completely waterproof and compact and, as you'd expect from Castelli, we also gave it an amazing fit on the bike, but it's still wide enough to fit over a Gabba.
It has all the features of a high-performance rain jacket, with a waterproof zipper, extended back, long sleeves and cuffs that can be pulled over gloves. But we realized you wouldn't want to break your bank account for this, so the only real tradeoff compared to our top models is breathability.
We kept the styling low-key and added a bright color option in Brilliant Pink, so you can easily use this jacket as a commuter jacket and still look great when you get to the office. If you plan to wear it over office attire, you'll want to go up a size.
