The Polartec® Alpha® material ensures excellent insulation—soft, elastic, and lightweight. A few years ago, we thought it would be great for base layers, but it felt damp and clammy against the skin. However, when we were looking for more warmth for our gravel rides in sub-zero temperatures, we tested the Alpha® prototypes as a second layer over a Prosecco base layer and discovered the perfect combination for rides in the cold. We worked on the details and perfected this second layer for chilly days. It features a half-length zipper to minimize bulk around the stomach area. The zipper is slightly off-center to avoid multiple zippers meeting at the neck. The fit is close to the body, allowing you the option to tuck it into your tights or wear it over them, as we prefer. We also found that it works excellently over a Flanders, Bandito, Miracolo, or Seamless base layer.

Active insulation made from Polartec® Alpha® 90 material from recycled PET with extra strong loft. Maximum breathability, asymmetrical zipper, and high collar.
