The Black Diamond Helio 88 is a perfect touring ski for spontaneous outings or day trips through technically challenging terrain. With its lightweight design, it offers outstanding downhill performance. The Helio features a prepreg carbon construction with a Paulownia wood core and surrounding ABS sidewalls for added cushioning. The balanced flex and torsional stiffness ensure reliable and responsive handling during descents. The early shovel rise at the tip of the ski enhances floatation and facilitates ascents. The ABS tail protector includes an integrated notch for ski skin clips to prevent the skins from sliding off. It has a technically demanding 88 mm underfoot with an early shovel rise at the tip. The prepreg carbon construction provides improved damping, torsional stiffness, and balanced flex. It has a Paulownia wood core and 5 mm ABS sidewalls that are beveled all around. The ABS tail protector features an integrated notch for ski skin clips. It also includes a titanium binding mounting plate. Optimal usage: 30% soft snow, 70% hard snow. Handmade in Austria.
