With its revolutionary, patented design made possible by Black Diamond's proprietary warm forging, the GridLock Screwgate eliminates the risk of cross-loading. Specifically designed for belaying, the intuitive and user-friendly GridLock keeps the belay loop behind its uniquely shaped gate, ensuring that the carabiner remains properly oriented at all times. The GridLock features a back with an I-profile and a rounded, large rope bearing surface for maximum strength and easy rope feeding. This way, it permanently prevents the belay carabiner from twisting or being cross-loaded.
