Although the Camox Freebird has become slightly softer under the binding, this has been skillfully compensated with a larger camber. As a result, it remains exceptionally versatile and is suitable for the entire season and all snow conditions.
It has become a bit more demanding, but it also offers a wider performance range.
Despite being slightly narrower underfoot, it feels a bit heavier but is significantly more stable than its predecessor. In short turns, it requires a bit more effort and technique, but it provides the necessary stability to help you progress.
So it is still a ski that many skiers will enjoy on tours throughout the entire season.
Kudos to Black Crows; our initial skepticism was unfounded, and we look forward to seeing many satisfied Camox Freebird owners who will have a lot of fun with this ski.
