Autohome Lockable closure

With the new lockable closure, Autohome has introduced a long-requested improvement in the 2021 season. There is now the option to lock the roof tent with an original closure, thus protecting your belongings inside the tent from theft. The lock, specifically designed for this application, is integrated into the closure hook.

The new Autohome security technology with a lockable mechanism is designed for tent models that feature an opening mechanism with gas pressure springs. This includes the Columbus and Airtop series. For Maggiolina models with a crank opening, this is not necessary, as the crank serves as the "key." In general, two locks per tent are recommended - one at the front and one at the back - so that the tent cannot be opened anymore.

Improvised solutions such as straps or chains are therefore unnecessary, and the use of padlocks, which can be unstable and cause vibrations during travel, is now a thing of the past.
