Crank ice screw with extra bite and low blowout effect. AustriAlpin developed these ice screws in collaboration with their team climbers: the crank, now standard for ice screws, allows for energy-saving and quick insertion, even in challenging terrain. A revolutionary surface treatment and optimal sharpening ensure the necessary bite for quick placement, while the blowout effect of the screw is remarkably low due to its special thread shape. The unique design of the crank optimally directs the load in the event of a fall to the axis of the screw.
