AKU Superalp GTX

The Aku Superalp GTX W's is a women's hiking boot that is still comfortable even if the tour is particularly long or you are carrying a heavy rucksack. The Italian shoe specialist AKU has developed the IMS3 exoskeleton sole for these requirements. The lower part consists of an outer polyurethane skeleton that is raised at the back to surround and protect the heel. This ensures optimum support and stability when walking. The asymmetrical structure, with a wider inner part and a polyurethane elevation, provides support for the midfoot while preventing overload and thus pronation. The upper part of the midsole offers shock absorption and high pressure resistance with its feather-light polyurethane inner part. The Vibram sole ensures perfect grip. But the Superalp GTX W's is not without its upper either - the suede leather in combination with the Gore-Tex membrane ensures breathability and weather protection. A rubber rand protects against debris and impacts. The shoe is also adapted to the anatomy of the female foot. It has a more pronounced arch, which prevents it from slipping forwards. The heel is also narrower, which also prevents rubbing and therefore the risk of blisters, and the same applies to the forefoot area. In addition, the cuffs are flared at the top to reduce tension on the calves. The Aku Superalp GTX W's are ideal for long-distance hikes, multi-day tours, treks, pilgrimages and anyone travelling with a tent, equipment and provisions in their luggage. These boots are made for walking.
