The Aku Superalp GTX W's is a women's hiking shoe that remains comfortable even on long hikes or with heavy loads. The Italian shoe specialist AKU has developed the IMS3-Exoskeleton sole for this purpose. The lower part consists of an outer skeleton made of polyurethane, which rises at the back to encase and protect the heel. This provides optimal support and stability while walking. The asymmetrical structure, with a wider inner section and a raised polyurethane area, offers support to the midfoot and prevents overloading and pronation. The upper part of the midsole, with its lightweight polyurethane inner section, provides shock absorption and high pressure resistance. The Vibram sole ensures perfect grip. The upper material of the Superalp GTX W's is also impressive: the suede leather combined with the integrated Gore-Tex membrane ensures breathability and weather protection. A rubber rand protects against debris and impacts. The shoe is tailored to the anatomy of the female foot and features a more pronounced arch to prevent sliding forward.
