Place the lid on the glass jar after pouring the mixture into it, ensuring that you close the vent first. To ensure it is positioned correctly, the lid must be properly aligned and screwed on tightly; the vent must then be opened before placing the jar in the machine. Before closing the lid, open the vent by pressing the button, then close it again once the jar has been placed in the machine. The jar must be placed in the machine with the lid already on and closed, except when operating the vent.
