Question about Kibernetik Nanyo KMO8502
"It is certainly better than any fan."- Is this unit an air conditioner or rather a fan? I need a device that really cools the room/apartment in the hot summertime.
It is an air conditioner as clearly specified.
The hot air must be transported outside through the large pipe.
Thus it has nothing to do with heating, but with cooling.
You set the desired temperature, and set it to climate on or off.
With ON/AUTO, the compressor adjusts until the desired temperature is reached. (With cooling liquid, which is how an air conditioner works).
However, it can also be used as a fan (when the compressor is off).
It cools quite quickly and strongly for smaller rooms (80m3).

However, at 65dB it is somewhat louder.
If you want to cool a whole flat properly, you might need something bigger.
I am very satisfied overall and use it for my office.
Since I usually wear my headphones there, the noise doesn't bother me, I'm just happy to be in a pleasantly cool room.
But it is quite loud, and you kind of have to have a window or something open to lead the hose outside. There are, however, appropriate covers for normal/small windows so that all the heat doesn't come straight back in at the top.
