Hello LeaE919 We have two of these heaters in our house (even before the gas crisis). They are very good for briefly heating weakly heated rooms. For outdoor use, I think they are only suitable for splash-proof areas (covered terraces, etc.). If you have looked at the heater, it consists of heating fins and a control unit. And I would never expose this control unit to splash water (rain, lawn sprinklers, etc.) as it is equipped with ventilation slits on the top and sides into which water can penetrate. And I doubt whether the electronic and electrical elements are "waterproof". So please be careful with such promises.............. mfg Peter
