Is the thermostat suitable for damp rooms (bathroom etc.)?
we have had one installed in the bathroom for a few months. The humidity has not caused any problems so far, although it is often very humid (mist, fogged mirror, etc.). However, the EQ3 is less practical in tight spaces: because there is little space between the radiator and the bathtub in our house and because the EQ3 is longer than a normal heating handle, we bump into it from time to time, which the EQ3 does not tolerate well at all. Even relatively light impacts can loosen the plastic fastening, break it and the thermostat can fall to the floor. We have therefore already mounted the second one and are looking for a more robust model.
The protection class is IP20, i.e. the thermostat is not protected against water.
Excerpt from operating instructions: Operate the unit indoors only and avoid the influence of moisture, dust and exposure to sunlight or heat.
I use an EQ-3 in the kitchen, but there it is not exposed to splash water. Under these conditions, I would have no reservations about using it in the bathroom. This is my purely private opinion without reference to the actual properties of the thermostat.
