All the way under? Really? It has power cables including adapters (?) which are routed through the water tank or are in the water tank. I find it a bit dangerous to fill water in there, even if it is insulated. Strange. The cable with the plug goes into the tank at the bottom left and then through the water tank.

Exactly. There is an electric submersible pump in the water tank. There is therefore a cable that crosses the water tank as in any aquarium.
