I am looking for a suitable location in the house for this freezer. I have read that the room should not be too warm and also not too humid. Direct sunlight is also not good. The cellar room is already full and now I have come up with the boiler room. The boiler room (gas heating) would have an ideal temperature of about 16 to 17 degrees and the humidity is not high either. Is there any reason why the freezer should not be placed in a boiler room? Or is that ok?

Hoi and we also have gas heating - we have 1 tumbler and 1 Wöma as a tower right next to it (next to the part that turns the gas into heat) at a distance of 5 cm.... and other appliances in this room.
The last heating check was 1 year ago, and the person who checked it (new check, quite tuff) had no problems with this "setting" (more like: grounding has to be done, please fix the condensate syphon

even more, thats it - what no one was bothered about for 30 years before).

To be on the safe side, ask your Heitziger or the energy company that supplies you with the gas and controls the heater if there is any reason not to...

The only thing I can imagine with my limited imagination would be sparks and ignition of gas that would be in the room if the heater was not tight - but then you would have the risk with every appliance in the heater...
