Question about Melitta Purista

I have owned this coffee machine for 3 years. I make 8 lungos and 3-4 espressos a day. Since we have very chalky water, it is advisable to use a limescale filter. I clean it every week and descale it and change the filter every 4th week. If you keep to the cleaning and descaling with filter change, the coffee machine will last longer. I have never had any problems and am very happy with it. I would buy the same machine again.

Cleaning takes between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on how clean you want it to be and whether you also want to clean the system using cleaning tablets or descaling.

I have owned this machine for quite some time. The name says it all, because the cleaning programme (approx. every 14 days for my coffee consumption of approx. 6 cups per day) can actually only be carried out with the operating instructions, as it is somewhat complicated - just more for purists ...
