How often do you have to change the dust bag? Do I understand correctly that the dust bags work in exactly the same way as a hoover that has bags? They suck the dust out of the hoover and when it is full I have to throw it in the rubbish. I also can't reuse the bags and have to replace them every fortnight or so. Is that how I see it?

Helpful answer

I change the bag about every 2 to 3 months and tend to be generous - I could use it longer, it's usually not full then, but I find it more hygienic that way.

It is a disposable bag that is not intended for reuse. Alternatively, you can empty the hoover container manually directly into the waste bin. However, this is dusty, as with other bagless cordless vacuum cleaners.

We change the bag about every 6 weeks. We have a large flat with 3 cats with lots of hair and children.... The bag is quite big and for the fact that we vacuum every day, it lasts a really long time. Finally no more dusty emptying and finally you don't have to keep pressing the button to vacuum (no more Dyson!). It's also quicker not to have to empty the vacuum every time. Besides the good looks, it is also quite quiet and light compared to the last 3 Dysons we had (DC62, V10, V11). But we have the midnight blue model with 2 batteries that can both be charged at the same time. Simply top. I never thought I would write a review for a hoover. But I'm simply thrilled with this thing. A clear recommendation to buy, at least in this price range. Forget all Dysons, this one is simply awesome. The hoover epiphany :-D

Yes it is a disposable bag but I have had the vacuum now since July 2022, have 3 floors to vacuum and the bag is still not full. The way I see it, the dust/dirt is very compressed.
