For some time now, my fan has been running constantly (cooling starts sporadically, as usual). This is not normal, is it?

No, my refrigerator does not have this behaviour. Unfortunately, a lot of ice often accumulates behind the cover plate. Maybe it helps to de-ice the fridge?
