It should be possible to read out the transmitted commands, then I could imagine that they could also be integrated into an app, or e.g. for tools like tasker.
Can the device also be switched on via the mobile app? Or can it only be operated via the mobile app if it is already running and only then connects to the WiFi?
It is often not clear which device has which function, as they all look the same. The new remote control (green backlight) is also no guarantee for the WLAN device?
For all those who are interested. The manufacturer doesn't have any information about the Wi-Fi function online, but I found it anyway. The air conditioner can be integrated into the WLAN at home. Then a user account is created at Argo. The air conditioner can be controlled from anywhere via a web app in the browser. The interface of this web app is based on the remote control included and has the same functions. A "real" Smart Home integration (Apple HomeKit, etc.) is not possible.
In general: The unit is available in (at least) two versions: with and without WiFi. The unit with WiFi has a built-in ESP32 with which the unit logs on to Argo or to a dummy server that can be installed in the LAN - this is done via WiFi. This then ensures that the unit can also be switched on and controlled remotely. For a "real" smarthome integration, this is not bad at all and has already been implemented in this way. There is a plug-in for Home Assistant at least, which works perfectly. I use the device in exactly this setup (including automation with various conditions) and I have absolutely no complaints, except for an unpleasant smell.
