For example, for working weeks I have set the heating to a certain temperature only in the morning until I leave, and during the day only when the temperature falls below a certain level. I have a different macro for holidays because I am at home more and therefore always want to have it warm. As far as effective geofencing is concerned, you could try home-assistant. The best way is to run the platform with a Rapsberry Pi 3B+. It may not be that easy, but it's certainly exciting for those who like to tinker and experiment.
