Yes, pure air humidification works in any case. But be careful that the room does not then become too humid (mould production). The unit does not have a hygrostat. The cooling effect is moderate and requires additional, preferably large cooling elements and their frequent change.

Since the machine is filled with water or is constantly refilled, I assume that the humidity should rise. But I have never measured it....
