Can the Philips AquaTrio 9000 make conventional vacuuming obsolete?
by Simon Balissat
These days, vacuum cleaners come in all shapes and sizes. At Galaxus, you can choose between classic hoovers with and without a bag, cordless and handheld vacuum cleaners. Selecting the right vacuum cleaner depends on the surface you want to clean. A distinction is made between hard floors, carpets, upholstered furniture and curtains.
A classic pull-along or sled hoover with or without a dust bag is still a tried-and-tested way of cleaning a large household. With the sled vacuum cleaner, negative pressure is created by the fan, which sucks in dust, dirt and air. With bag hoovers, dust and smaller dirt particles in the bag are filtered out of the air stream. If you use different attachments, these vacuum cleaners can be used for different surfaces such as hard floors, carpets or upholstery.
In hoovers without a bag, strong centrifugal forces are generated in the incoming air stream, which flings dust and dirt out of the air. Cyclones remove particles down to a size of 0.5 micron from the air. This type of vacuum cleaner has no bag. Instead, the collection bin is emptied directly into a waste bin.
The cordless handheld stick hoover is also a vacuum cleaner without a bag, but it works with a rechargeable battery and is therefore cordless.
This hoover has become a trendy product in recent years. The Dyson brand in particular has invested heavily in research and development in this field and brought a powerful hoover onto the market, which has become a trendsetter with its design and strong performance. This vacuum cleaner comes with different attachments that make the device usable on all surfaces.
If you want a compact and small hoover that you can easily store, a handheld hoover could also be the right model for you. The hand vacuum cleaner has less power than a classic hoover and is suitable for vacuuming small amounts of dust or dirt at specific points. It's also cordless and powered by a rechargeable battery.
