The Wave Mini helps you monitor: airborne chemicals (VOCs), temperature, humidity and mold risk.
Real-time local pollen readings right in the Airthings app! Users can use it to track pollen levels in their area or any location and improve their indoor air quality based on this data.
A hand movement in front of the device is sufficient to visualize the current values with the help of a colored display in terms of the traffic light colors green, yellow or red. With the help of the app, the current and historical values can be displayed clearly and with graphics on your smartphone via Bluetooth.
In order to obtain the most accurate indication of mould, the Wave Mini should be placed where mould is most likely to occur. e.g:
- Right next to the wall or on the windowsill;
- under or behind furniture;
- on the floor near outside walls;
- in the basement.
Airthings' mold risk indication is based on the ASHRAE mold index. Our scale goes from 0-10, readings are shown in traffic light colors as usual.
- Green (0-3): Good. There is little risk of mold developing.
- Yellow (3-5): Average. Mold develops primarily on susceptible materials such as textiles and wood.
- Red (5-10): Poor. There is a high risk of mould developing on all materials.
The mould risk indicator does not detect mould spores in the air. However, it will tell you if conditions in a room are conducive to mold growth. The indicator uses an algorithm based on the temperature and humidity sensors to calculate how fast fungus can grow under the current conditions.
