For the Zwilling Gourmet knife series, Zwilling uses a special steel that is characterised by an optimally balanced ratio of chrome and carbon. The blades are punched from this high-quality knife steel and then ice-hardened. This process makes the Friodur blades particularly durable and flexible. The ice-hardening process also protects them from rust.

The Zwilling Gourmet Utility Knife is equipped with a plastic handle, which is connected to the blade by three rivets. It has an ergonomic shape and is very light like the blade. Therefore the knife lies well in the hand during all work and is also suitable for longer use.
