Retro on the outside, modern and progressive on the inside: Sebastian Holmbäck and Ulrik Nordentoft remind us of grandmother's kitchen with this simple design for the Danish brand Stelton. The charmingly knobbly shape convinces with its slightly flared, tilt-proof base, the beautiful beech wood handle invites you to push down the toast or bread slices in an eye-catching way. Stelton offers the design matching the tableware series in a traditionally lacquered "porcelain look". However, the Emma toaster is equipped in a modern way: There is room for two slices in the two slots, and in addition to adjusting the degree of toasting, the appliance offers two automatic programmes for defrosting and baking, as well as a seven-stage browning control and a "stop" button for prematurely stopping the toasting process.
