Sandnes Garn Tynn Peer Gynt

Peer Gynt has been on the market since 1938. Its unique structure makes the yarn excellent for knitting sweaters. Peer Gynt is just as popular today as it was back then. In the fall of 2022, we launched a thinner version of the exact same yarn with the same great properties. Garments made from Norwegian wool feel light and warm. They become even softer with each wear. Norwegian wool is durable and resistant to pilling, ensuring that the garments always look good and retain their shape for a long time. Consider the environment: wool is breathable and rarely needs washing. Instead, we recommend airing out the garment well. Norwegian wool garments have a long lifespan and maintain their beauty over generations. This means that Norwegian wool contributes to sustainable consumption.

The same fiber is used for both Peer Gynt and Tynn Peer Gynt, produced in different thicknesses – Tynn Peer Gynt is 3-ply and Peer Gynt is 4-ply.

Material: 100% Norwegian wool

Origin of the wool: Norway

• Yardage: approx. 205 meters per 50 grams

• Recommended needle size: Knitting needle No. 3

• Gauge: 27 stitches = 10 cm

Note: For machine washing, we recommend washing all wool items separately on the wool wash program to treat them as gently as possible. Spin gently and dry the garment flat, preferably lying on a towel. Never wash hand-knitted items in a laundry net/bag, as this creates friction that can cause felting.
