Product details
Margrethe bowl series. When a mixing bowl bears the name of a Danish queen, it's probably no coincidence. Indeed, there are plenty of anecdotes in this design by the Danish brand Rosti, which are only surpassed by its undisputedly high utility properties and iconic silhouettes. The spiritual father is Jacob Jensen, who worked in the studio of Sigvard Bernadotte and Acton Bjørn in the 1950s and developed the iconic 1950 design for Rosti based on a survey of housewives. However, the bowl only became famous in 1954 when Sigvard Bernadotte, who preferred a life as a creative free spirit to the legitimate succession to the throne of Gustav VI Adolf and life at court, was allowed to name the innovative design after his niece, the newly crowned heir to the Danish throne, Margrethe II. The popularity of the monarch on one hand and the spread of electric hand mixers on the other helped to market the bowls worldwide. But ultimately, it is their quality features that have also earned them a place of honour in New York's MoMA and on a Danish stamp.
Margrethe 0.75L bowl. On the 70th anniversary of the original chosen by Jacob Jensen, the popular mixing bowl is changing its material to meet the new requirements in the kitchen. The new, recyclable Durostima® plastic is superior to conventional melamine and is even more robust and break-resistant. What is particularly pleasing for everyone in the kitchen is that the bowls and dishes can be used anywhere without hesitation - from the dishwasher to the microwave to the freezer! Thanks to a rubber ring inserted into the base, the bowl is extremely non-slip, even when things get a bit more intense during preparation, such as stirring or kneading. A small handle and a practical spout make it easy to handle, and the different bowl sizes can be stacked inside each other to save space. This pretty little bowl with a capacity of 0.75 litres is ideal as a cereal bowl or serving bowl for salads of all kinds.
