Since the lid has a rubber seal inside, I would advise against cleaning it in the dishwasher. We always clean them "only" with hot water and then rub them dry well. Drying is the most important thing. Always keep the lids separate. Do not close the empty bottle with them. (Then you won't have any "funny" smells).
I don't know, but I suspect that they don't fit, because they don't fit all Sodastream appliances either. When filling with CO2, a gas-tight connection must be made, and if the size is not exactly right, it will never be tight.
A Sodastream no longer costs the earth, if you really want glass bottles, then it's worth buying a new one, as the CO2 bottles are usually the same. I think the glass bottle is hygienically perfect and also lasts longer than the ugly plastic bottles.
No, unfortunately the Sodastream glass bottles do not fit the Aarke. According to the manufacturer's FAQ, glass is not possible because, for safety reasons (glass bottles shatter differently than plastic), a jacket would be needed for glass bottles. The glass carafe from Sodastream is clearly more beautiful than the plastic bottles, but Aarke is more beautiful for the appliances, so unfortunately the two do not go together.
Since we purchase the two items from different suppliers, the purchasing conditions are also different. Here it is effectively the case that we get the double pack cheaper and can pass this price advantage on to our customers.
