According to the manufacturer, this battery replaces the following battery types:
215681, 215866-01/02, 215967-01/02, 967834-02, PM8-US-HFB1497A,PU2-JP-HFA4456A
Compatible with serial numbers starting with:
VE6, VE8, RA6, RA8, B6V, RA9, VE7, ZH1, B9F, B2R, ZH2, C3F, G1K, C3G, G5W, YA4
However, it is not compatible with serial numbers beginning with YH5, H5F or H5P. We will correct the information accordingly, thank you for letting us know.
Unfortunately, there is currently no replacement battery of type D available that can be used for devices with serial number YH5 as a replacement for battery 969106-01.

Replacing the battery is quick and easy, remove the Dyson from the wall bracket, loosen the screws, pull out the old battery, insert the new battery, tighten the screws and then return the Dyson to the wall bracket :-)
perfect is even better than the original..... regarding runtime.
Sticks a bit when you take it out (at least the one I have) but the holder holds and everything is fine.

Hello, I ordered this item for my Dyson V8 with VE6 number and had no problems with the installation. The battery is spot on and the hoover is as good as new with even a little more runtime.
