Hello :-) It works great with nuts, sesame seeds too - I do it regularly. I haven't used dates yet, but I think that works too. Every now and then I add about 1 tsp of coconut oil if I want it to be very fine (e.g. sesame seeds). With nuts: 400-450 g roasted (130° 20-30min) nuts - it goes better/faster with roasted nuts. I usually work up to the medium level (only a short time on the highest level), don't use any of the programmes for this. Grind the nuts on a low setting. Take breaks during preparation so that the blender is not overloaded. There are several good videos on YouTube about making nut puree yourself. ... and then just try it out. Good luck and have fun :-) lg

Hello, I haven't done this myself yet (I just got it), but I read in my various researches that this is possible. A description of the product says > Heat-resistant glass jar: For easy mixing of hot and cold preparations with this kitchen mixer with practical measuring cup (mixing jar). The glass jar looks like good quality glass to me. Personally, I would first start with warm - not quite hot - preparations or gather experience and see how that works out. I'm glad if this information helps :-)
