There are two versions of the devices, the cheaper version is the surface-mounted version. This is somewhat confusing as the description for both versions is the same and refers to flush-mounted installation.

You can adjust this under the true temperature item in the Control app for the rooms. Simply take a built-in thermometer and position it in the centre of the room and take the temperature. It works perfectly.
