Yes, it does. The kettle switches off automatically. Works perfectly for me.

In the year of the Lord 2014, the unit was delivered with CH plug.

The water is boiled to approx. 93° Celsius with the manual brew button. You cannot reach the temperature for baby champagne directly. Then you have to mix with cold water.
