The product with the manufacturer article number 10EBP1701-2X is the 4th generation of the radiator thermostat from Eve Systems, which was introduced in 2020. It is not the latest model, as a new generation (product number 10EBP1751) has been available since 2024.
I've just updated my firmware from the iPad ( iOS 26 developer beta 3, Eve App 6.3.9 ) and it worked, though: this is the first time I've updated firmware in general, so it migrated the Thermo to Matter - not entirely sure if that's comparable to your problem....
The Eve Thermos currently use a so-called Thread network. This expands automatically via (at least) one control centre - e.g. HomePod mini - and other HomePods as well as devices that are permanently connected to the network - e.g. Eve Energy. You can find more details at https://www.evehome.com/de...
I have just put one into operation for testing. Initialise Eve via app, turn Danfoss RA to level 5, open quick release ring, pull off Danfoss. Three types of plastic adapters are supplied with Eve. Choke the RA adapter onto the valve until it "clicks" and then tighten the clamping jaws with the screw/nut provided. Now screw the Eve with its retaining ring onto the adapter and have it calibrated in the app. It will probably never be completely straight, but it works. Remember that all smart thermostats are electric. Two AA batteries are included. Let's see how long they last. I've already used rechargeable ones. I think they are ingenious with the Matter network and integration. Just needs Homepod MInis or Apple TVs, but the Apple aficionado already has that anyway ;)
No, I don't think there's anything wrong. I also had a delay in delivery. The reason is demand. The demand for these devices is so great that the company can no longer keep up with production and there are delivery bottlenecks. These things are just good. And it's excellent that you don't have to create an account with a manufacturer before you can use them (privacy). I think it's worth the patience.
State subsidy for a thing of 74.- SFr ?
Also for hundet of the things the effort for claiming can never outweigh the revenue ( we pay them after xxxYY 15% if you fulfil YYYxxx).
Asking is a waste of resources in this area.
Buy the thing, it's cool, comfortable but not particularly stable. Just a gadget.
