The engine fits both. The attachments differ slightly. The blades of the old series, for example, do not fit in the new one.

No, the adapter does not fit. But you can attach the whisk to the old adapter, then it works.

It comes with a cutting knife. As for the compatibility with the 9147x, I don’t know but it wasn’t compatible with our model but Braun sent us a top that was, free of charge. Maybe call them and check.
