Hello DDDai, I think you mean the short piece that is rectangular and narrow at the front. This goes directly on the vacuum cleaner when you have unclipped the long suction pipe. Then you have a hand hoover. Greetings frog
I can't give you any information about animal hair. We don't have any but what we do have is long, thick hair on our heads (my daughter and myself). And it sucks them in well without getting stuck.

I no longer recommend this item. Great at first, but breaks down relatively quickly. Rather noisy and no extension tube.
Hello together We have two of these suction devils. They are great for everyday use to get rid of the worst dirt. Vacuuming overhead and on furniture is also possible. We don't really like the conversion to a hand vacuum. The click fasteners on the pipes are missing. Therefore, we usually use another hand hoover.
