In contrast to static filtration techniques, cross-flow filters are capable of clarifying liquids with relatively high turbidity levels. This filter is delivered with a Siliphos reservoir (approximately 180 g).

Siliphos filters can extend the lifespan of washing or dishwashing machines and reduce detergent consumption by up to 30%, depending on water hardness, while enhancing cleaning effectiveness. When used in a dishwasher, additional salt can be completely eliminated. Additionally, water pipes are protected from corrosion, and existing deposits are gradually broken down, which helps prevent brown and red discoloration of water caused by dirty pipes.

The lifespan varies and depends on several factors, such as water quality. The lifespan ultimately ends when the Siliphos granulate is depleted. At that point, the granulate can easily be renewed by replacement.

The filter is simply installed before the aquastop of the dishwasher or washing machine. Connections: 2x 20.67-mm (1/2") internal threads.

Functionality: Phosphatization does not refer to softening in the strict sense, but rather to keeping hardness-forming minerals in solution. By using polyphosphate, the magnesium and calcium present in the water are bonded to the polyphosphate, forming a water-soluble complex. A welcome side effect is the corrosion protection of water pipes and even the gradual breakdown of existing deposits.
