Product details
The Santoku knife - Japanese for "three virtues" - is characterized by three cutting techniques: with this smaller Japanese all-rounder, you can chop garlic, slice cucumbers, and dice onions. MIYABI celebrates Japanese craftsmanship with Artisan. Using traditional methods and innovative techniques, these knives blend the past and present into an extraordinary knife collection. The powerful core made of SG2 micro-carbide powder steel is coated with a stunning Tsuchime finish. This exquisite, hand-hammered effect prevents food from sticking. The CRYODUR® blades feature exceptional sharpness and durability thanks to the innovative ice hardening process. Each knife has a hand-ground blade with a true Katana edge, a tribute to the samurai swords that were made in Seki centuries ago. The handles, made from special Cocobolo rosewood Pakkawood, reflect the beauty of the blade. Refined details include brass and red spacers, a mosaic pin, and a stainless steel end cap. The attractive D-shaped handle is designed to fit comfortably in the hand, allowing for fatigue-free cutting.
