Your matcha whisk is unfortunately a consumable item. With regular use, the initially bent bristles will stretch further and further. Straight bristles on a chasen significantly hinder the frothing of matcha tea. By using a whisk holder (Kusenaoshi), the bristles maintain their shape, allowing you to significantly extend the lifespan of your bamboo whisk. Additionally, the chasen should be rinsed after use and dried on the whisk holder in a well-ventilated area to prevent mold growth.
