To use, the salt plate should be slowly heated in the oven or over indirect heat on the grill for about 20 minutes in its dry state to prevent cracking. To check the temperature, simply sprinkle a few drops of water onto the stone. If they evaporate immediately, the stone is ready for use. The salt block is also excellent for serving and can be easily carried with the appropriate holder. Cold dishes and desserts can also be served on the salt block; just place the stone in the freezer for 30 minutes beforehand.

Cleaning and maintenance are straightforward: the salt block should be wiped with a damp cloth or soft sponge while cold. Running water, dish soap, or dishwashers should not be used. Stubborn residues can be carefully removed with a scraper.
