The caquelon is dishwasher-safe, but cleaning by hand is recommended After use, leave the caquelon filled with cold water for just a short time to make it easier to remove cheese residue (do not leave it in a bain-marie) The caquelon can then be easily cleaned with a cleaning brush and washing-up liquid Note Induction hob: In rare cases, the induction hob may not recognise the ceramic caquelon. We therefore recommend carrying out a brief function check before using it for the first time: Place the empty caquelon on the hob and switch to a medium setting. If a connection is established and remains stable for 30 seconds, the caquelon will work on your hob without any problems. If the hob does not recognise the caquelon or the connection is lost before 30 seconds have elapsed, please contact Kuhn Rikon Customer Service. Never use the power setting on induction hobs when preparing fondue. This can cause the base of the caquelon to overheat. We recommend the use of an aluminium heat distribution plate (Art. 32045) on the rechaud to ensure optimum heat distribution.
