Developed in close collaboration with artisans in Japan's traditional pottery villages, this collection is a reinterpretation of Japanese tableware for the modern lifestyle. The production of these products required inherited knowledge and skills, from the proportions of clay and glaze to the sensitive changes during firing, which depend on temperature and humidity. A simple design with warm clay textures offers comfort to the user. CLK-151 products have a modest yet dignified presence. Beneath the calm color glaze, the rough texture of the clay emerges, while the lower edges convey a sharp impression reminiscent of broken stone. The products are made from the sandstone typical of the Hasami region, with sand and rock mixed with Amakusa porcelain stone, which is mined on the Amakusa Islands. This porcelain clay ensures durability, and deep, nuanced expressions arise from the reaction of sandstone iron with the glaze. Kinto CLK-151 is microwave and dishwasher safe.
