Jumo Surface-mounted thermostat

The single-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat with switching contact is very robust due to its fiberglass-reinforced polyester housing (protection class IP65) and can be used even under harsh conditions. The measuring system operates based on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without any issues up to a maximum allowable sensor temperature of 50 °C. The stainless steel sensing probe is mounted on the side of the housing. The maximum allowable ambient temperature at the housing is -40 to 40 °C in temperature class T6 or a maximum of 70 °C in temperature class T4. The housing is secured with 4 screws directly to the base of the housing. With the help of a screwdriver, the desired cutoff temperature can be easily set on a scale after removing the housing cover. The temperature monitor features a high switching point accuracy of +/-2 K in the middle third of the scale. The built-in temperature compensation minimizes the influence of ambient temperature on the switching head. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made via PushIn terminals, significantly reducing installation time compared to conventional screw connections. The maximum allowable switching capacity is AC 230 volts / 16 A. The thermostat has a switching differential (hysteresis) of approximately 2.5% of the scale range and automatically switches back to its original state after falling below the cutoff temperature by this value. The temperature monitor is very versatile and can be used in all explosion-risk areas of Ex Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22. The device is approved according to ATEX and suitable for temperature class T6 in explosive gas or dust atmospheres. The device is RoHS compliant and free of cadmium.
