Jumo Surface-mounted thermostat

The single-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat is very robust due to its impact-resistant housing with a high-quality plastic cover and aluminum die-cast base, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions. The measuring system operates based on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without issues up to a maximum permissible sensor temperature of 345 °C. The immersion tube is made of high-quality stainless steel (material no. 1.4571) with a diameter of 8 mm. It is secured by a G 1/2 thread type A according to DIN 3852/2. The maximum permissible ambient temperature at the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 °C. Using a screwdriver, the desired switching-off temperature can be easily set on an internal scale after removing the housing cover. The safety temperature monitor features a high switching point accuracy of +0/-5 % in the upper third of the scale. If the measuring system is destroyed, the circuit will remain open. The switching contact will then be in a neutral position, ensuring that no contacts are engaged. If the sensor cools to a temperature below approximately -20 °C, the circuit will also open, and it will only close again when the temperature rises above approximately -20 °C. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made via screw terminals directly on the installed microswitch, which can switch a maximum permissible switching power of AC 230 volts / 10 A directly. The safety temperature monitor is highly versatile and is used in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation technology, as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and machine construction, oven construction, district heating transfer stations, and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate chambers. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and DGRL and has an EAC certification.
