Product details
The mechanical build-up double thermostat is very robust due to its impact-resistant housing with a high-quality plastic cover and aluminum die-cast base, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions. The device consists of two temperature monitors, where the desired shut-off temperature can be independently set using a screwdriver on a scale after removing the housing cover. The temperature monitors feature a high switching point accuracy of +0/-1.5% in the upper third of the scale and have a switching differential (hysteresis) of approximately 4 to 8% of the scale range. Upon reaching the shut-off point, the temperature monitors turn off, and after falling below the shut-off temperature by the value of the switching differential, they automatically return to their original state. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made through screw terminals directly to the built-in microswitches, which can switch a maximum permissible switching power of AC 230 volts / 10 A directly. The measuring systems used operate based on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without issues up to a maximum permissible sensor temperature of 575 °C. The immersion tube made of high-quality stainless steel (material No. 1.4571) has a diameter of 15 mm. The mounting is done via a G 1/2 thread form A according to DIN 3852/2. The maximum permissible ambient temperature at the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 °C. The thermostat is highly versatile and is used in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation technology, as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and mechanical engineering, oven construction, district heating transfer stations, and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate cabinets. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has an EAC certification.
