The single-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat is very robust due to its impact-resistant housing with a high-quality plastic cover and aluminum die-cast base, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions. The measuring system operates on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without issues up to a maximum allowable sensor temperature of 175 °C. The immersion tube made of nickel-plated brass has a diameter of 8 mm. It is mounted using a G 1/2 thread form A according to DIN 3852/2. The maximum allowable ambient temperature at the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 °C. With the help of a screwdriver, the desired cut-off temperature can be easily set on an internal scale after removing the housing cover. The temperature switch features a high switching point accuracy of +/-1.5% in the upper third of the scale. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made via screw terminals directly on the installed microswitch, which can switch a maximum allowable switching power of AC 230 volts / 10 A directly. The thermostat has a switching differential (hysteresis) of approximately 3 to 4% of the scale range and automatically returns to its original state after dropping below the cut-off temperature by this value. The temperature switch is very versatile and is used in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation technology, as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and mechanical engineering, oven construction, and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate cabinets. The device is certified according to DIN EN 14597 and has EAC approval.
