Dishwasher-safe Bone China
The surface of Bone China is technically a type of glass and should be treated accordingly.
Please note the following information:
Any deposits that may occur are often starch residues that have not been completely removed in the dishwasher. Over time, such deposits can accumulate, forming a relatively thin but extremely resistant film, which is favored by:
- heavily soiled dishes
- hard tap water
- incorrectly dosed cleaning agents
In general, it can be said:
Deposits on porcelain glazes and glass can only be avoided through optimal use of water, water softeners, cleaning agents, and rinse aids.
In most cases, these deposits can be removed with a liquid porcelain or glass-ceramic cleaner for ceramic cooktops. Typically, there is no damage to the glaze. If the deposits have already formed a very strong bond with the surface, removal may be very difficult or even impossible in some cases.
For hard porcelain and Bone China, the statement "the harder and less porous the material, the higher the dishwasher safety" generally applies.
