Housing made of transparent acrylic glass (PMMA) is a lighter substitute for glass, but more resistant to scratches and breakage. The ceramic grinding mechanism (burrs) is non-corrosive, suitable for salt, manual, and adjustable with a screw knob. The lid is protected from falling off with a screw knob. The knob features a printed "S" letter for marking salt.
