The bread knife E431 from the Güde Alpha series "Fasseiche" has on its bevelled, 32 cm long blade the "serrated edge with pointed teeth" which is proverbial for the Güde company - a serrated edge which significantly increases the cutting ability and cutting durability of the Güde knife. It is ideal for bread, rolls and baguettes, portioning both soft and hard bread with a light and clean cut. The hand-forged blade is made of chrome vanadium molybdenum knife steel, made of one piece, stainless, ice hardened and hand-hardened. The extraordinary grip of this Güde knife consists of oak wood from over 80 year old wine barrels, which has become almost indestructible through the long maturation. The rivets are made of stainless steel, the "palm rivets" in the middle are made of non-rust free aluminium. Güde knives with wooden handles should never be put in the dishwasher.
