Güde Knives
Güde Traditions-Manufaktur in Solingen is the inventor of the serrated edge for bread knives. Güde knives are forged from a single piece of Solingen steel and are hand-finished and sharpened, with a hardness of 56 HRC. The handles are made from old oak barrels, olive wood, or POM.
The special series of hand-forged Damascus knives features 300 layers of non-corrosive Damascus steel and a hardness of 61 HRC, with handles made from desert ironwood (petrified wood).
The Güde Alpha Profi bread knife is the test winner among 12 tested bread knives. It impresses with its cutting power, clean cutting profile, and wide hand guard. The ETM Testmagazin highlights its outstanding cutting ability: fresh breads with a crispy crust can be effortlessly sliced without tearing the crumb (the bread's interior).
Franz Güde is the inventor of this special serrated edge with pointed teeth. The knives in the Alpha Profi series meet the demands of the gastronomy sector and offer the greatest variety of models within the Güde series.
