Ice and snow sensor for open areas as a replacement sensor for the device series EM 524 89 or EM 524 90. The sensor can only be used in conjunction with the sensor mounting housing FAG 524111. This allows for a potential sensor replacement without the hassle of lifting the surface. The connection cable of the combined sensor can be extended up to 50 m with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² according to VDE 100. When extending the connection cable, it is advisable to use a numbered cable. This facilitates troubleshooting in case of a fault. When laying in cable ducts or near power lines (low voltage > 50 VAC), a shielded cable must be used.
